21c Liederabend is Opera on Tap's newest collaboration and project with a complete emphasis on art music of the 21st century. With Beth Morrison Projects and VisionIntoArt, Opera on Tap aims to turn this hugely successful event into an annual series and a true highlight of the classical music season. On Thursday November 19th, Opera on Tap in collaboration with Beth Morrison Projects and VisionIntoArt presented an un-precedented evening of post-classical song by the NYC-based movement's rising young stars.

21c Liederabend showcased a vast array of works by composers Caleb Burhans, Leah Coloff, Corey Dargel, Osvaldo Golijov, Judd Greenstein, Ted Hearne, David T. Little, Missy Mazzoli, Nico Muhly, Milica Paranosic, and Paola Prestini. The event was capped off with the presentation of a piece commissioned for the occasion by composer/ singer Kamala Sankaram.
Featured singers included Grammy-award winner Hila Plitmann, Helga Davis, Abigail Fischer, Amelia Watkins, Anne-Carolyn Bird, David Adam Moore, Kamala Sankaram, Isaiah Robinson, Daniel Gundlach, and rapper SKIM, accompanied by the VisionIntoArt ensemble with very special guest stars ETHEL and pianist Stephen Gosling, among others.
