Jessie Hinkle

Mezzo Soprano Jessie Hinkle holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Music from the University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.  Ms. Hinkle’s career has included performances on the operatic, concert and Broadway stages.  She has performed such roles as Carmen, Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito, Lucretia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia and Florence in Albert Herring.  Ms. Hinkle performed as a soloist with the American Symphony Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall in performances of Shostakovich’s Das Nusch-Nuschi and Mörder, Hoffnung der Frauen as well as the Alto soloist in Liszt’s Mass.  In 2003 Ms. Hinkle was an ensemble cast member of Baz Luhrmann’s Broadway production of Puccini’s La Bohème.   She has participated as a Young Artist in some of the United States’ most prestigious Young Artist Programs including the Music Academy of the West, Glimmerglass Opera, Central City Opera and Des Moines Metro Opera.  In 2008 Ms. Hinkle made her debut with Pensacola Opera as The Third Lady in The Magic Flute and with The South Eastern Festival of Song in collaboration with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as Ma Moss in The Tender Land.
