Linnea Leonard
Linnea Leonard, mezzo-soprano, has recently sung Carmen (Singing Actors’ Lab—NYC), Miss Todd in Old Maid and the Thief and Mrs. Nolan in The Medium (Delphi Theatre), and Mercedes in Carmen (Brooklyn Queens Conservatory Opera. Upcoming roles include Second Lady in Magic Flute, Principessa in Adriana Lecouvreur, First Norn in Götterdämmerung, and Annina in Der Rosenkavalier with New York Opera Forum. Earlier in her career, she was a lyric soprano, performing roles such as Annina in La Traviata (Chattanooga Opera), Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto (Lyric Opera of Waco), Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (Operafestival di Roma), and Frasquita in Carmen (Touring Concert Opera Company). She has also frequently sung as a concert soloist in The Messiah, Serenade to Music, Rutter’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria and others with the Chattanooga Symphony, the Brentwood Symphony, Schloss Mittersill Arts Series (Austria), St. Louis Voices United, Kirk of the Hills Orchestra and more. Linnea received her M.M. in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory, and Bachelor’s degrees in Voice, Piano and English from Covenant College. She currently studies with Joann C. Zajac and Judith Natalucci.
