 Sophia Benedetti, soprano, has had the opportunity to perform several roles including "Cossette" in Vives' Bohemios with Zarzuela Di Si, the title role in Donizetti's Betly with the Steele Project, "Cunegonde" in Bernstein's Candide with the Georgia State Opera Theatre, "La Cercatrice" in Puccini's Suor Angelica with La Musica Lirica, "Harry" in Britten's Albert Herring with the Georgia State Opera Theatre, and "Veluptua" in Barab's Pizza Con Funghi also with the Georgia State Opera Theatre. Partial opera roles include "Mimi" in Puccini's La Boheme, the "Dew Fairy" in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, "Suzanna" in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, and "Norina" in Donizetti's Don Pasquale. This December she will be performing once more with Zazuela Di Si in their produduction of Guerrero's Los Gavilanes as "Rosaura." In addition to performing, Ms. Benedetti loves working with kids and teaches piano and voice lessons.
